Students participating in the Fall Play or Musical as cast members and crew members will have the opportunity to earn points toward lettering. A student must accumulate 50 points to receive a letter. Any points earned will carry forward to the next year should a student not reach the 50-point goal to achieve a letter.
Rehearsal Attendance:
Cast members earn 1 point for each regular rehearsal, dress rehearsal and performance that they are in attendance for during the rehearsal period for a show. During an average year, this is approximately 25 points that can be earned simply by attending each scheduled rehearsal.
Crew members have the same opportunity, but they are not needed to be in attendance until the final two weeks before the opening of the show.
Set Construction:
Cast and crew members earn 1 point for each hour they are in attendance and working during set construction days. Cast members also agree to put in a minimum of 5 hours during set construction to be eligible for their letter.
Mandatory Rehearsals, Performances & Strike:
At the time of casting when the rehearsal schedule is shared, the calendar will note the date in which rehearsals become Mandatory for all cast members. Cast members that miss a rehearsal, performance, or do not attend the mandatory strike of the show without prior approval will not be eligible to receive a letter in that year.
Bonus Points:
There are opportunities to earn bonus points toward lettering during the season. These points can be earned from casting of the show through strike of the show.
